The Nespresso Vertuo system uses patented Centrifusion™ technology, which allows the machine to scan the barcode on the capsule and automatically determine the optimal amount of water, temperature, and brewing time. Once the precise settings have been selected, the capsule spins at up to 7,000 revolutions per minute, mixing the ground coffee with water at high speed to create a rich and creamy coffee crema. This way, each cup is prepared precisely, simply, and conveniently, and the taste always meets the highest Nespresso standards.

Vertuo is the first coffee system that allows you to enjoy a large cup of coffee with a velvety crema - a feature previously exclusive to espresso.

Crema is the naturally occurring layer of coffee foam formed during brewing, consisting of tiny bubbles of coffee and air. It is considered a mark of the highest coffee quality, enhancing the taste experience as the flavors gradually unfold while you drink. Crema also helps you savor the coffee’s aromatic and flavor notes for longer.

You can return your used Vertuo capsules for recycling in 3 easy steps:

1. Order a free recycling bag with your new order from the Nespresso online store or when shopping in a boutique.

2. Fill the bag with your used capsules and seal it tightly.

3. Return the bag with used capsules in one of the following ways: when placing a new order, select the SWAP service and hand the bag to the DPD courier upon delivery, or bring it to a boutique.

To ensure the best coffee taste and quality, we recommend descaling your coffee machine every 6 months. You can set a reminder by going to “My Account” and selecting “Consents”, then enabling the reminder option.
